Ordinances/Resolutions/Minutes: All ordinances and resolutions are decided by the Town Council at public meetings at which the public is invited to attend and allowed to make comment.

I. Ordinances

If the Town Council votes to adopt an ordinance, the ordinance is sent to a company which 'codifies' it into the Town Code. The codification process is managed by American Legal. II. Resolutions

Resolutions apply to policy or action. (For example: Annual Town Budgets are adopted by resolution) A resolution demonstrates the Council discussed/voted and decided to approve an action. Many resolutions authorize the Mayor or Council Member to undertake a specific action.

III. Minutes

Minutes are reviewed and approved by the Town Council a month following each meeting and kept at the Town of Briny Breezes office.

Agendas are legally required to be posted and always give a brief heading of Ordinances and Resolutions to be considered at the public meeting.

Notices of upcoming Meetings are posted on the bulletin boards located in the mailroom and on the front of the Briny Breezes Corporate Office.
